Ryanair threatens to stop domestic flights in Italy starting from January 23rd.

In Italy passengers are allowed to fly using different sorts of identity documents: not only Identity Cards and Passports but also driving licences and other documents issued by Ministry Departments. Italian Authorities have reminded this to Ryanair and Ryanair stated that if they are not permitted to reject passengers with other identity documents they will stop operating domestic flights in Italy, because their front-end workers are not prepared to deal with different documents. Lot of politicians of all tendencies are strongly supporting Ryanair position. One more time Ryanair does not respect the laws of the countries where they fly:
• They wouldn’t go away from Roma-Ciampino in spite of the fact that official test proved that noise produced by planes in that place is far beyond the maximum levels permitted by law.
• They don’t respect the workers rights granted by law.
• They don’t respect rules and limits about night flight.
• And now they don’t want to respect Italian citizens’ right to use different identity documents.

We wonder why the Italian Government doesn’t withdraw Ryanair’s fly-licence.
